CFI’S flagship training course and the perfect way for a curious novice to find out which handgun is right for you. 1.5 hours of hands-on instruction and live fire training designed to take a student with little-to-no handgun experience and make them a safe and competent basic handgun marksman with a wide range of firearms to help them decide what handgun may suit them best.

PISTOL 1 is a 1.5 hour course designed for shooters of any experience level who want to fast track their familiarization with a new firearm platform. Whether you’ve just bought your first firearm and you’re brand new to handgun shooting, or you’re a lifelong “revolver guy” purchasing your first Glock, Pistol 1 tailors shooting fundamentals to you and your new firearm. From Firearm Safety, to proper gun handling, to the fundamentals of marksmanship, you will shorten your learning curve of any new platform, and reinforce (or learn) the fundamentals of marksmanship along the way.

Pistol 1 is the first of 3 classes in CFI’s Pistol Intro Series (Pistol 1,2,&3) a full course designed to bring you from “brand new” to confident gun owner & carrier.

Time to build the framework onto your shooting foundation. In this 1.5 hour live fire class you will refine the basic skills learned in pistol 1 while adding new essential skills to your “arsenal” to continue becoming a safe, confident & competent gun owner.

You will learn & practice:

• Firearm safety (always)
• Malfunction clearing – keep your gun running!
• Speed & follow through – begin to add speed to your shooting without compromising accuracy through CFI’s “good enough shooting matrix”
• Reloads – Learn the CFI framework for efficient, fast reloads
• Gun disassembly – respect the tool and it will work for you

Pistol 1 or comparable experience required. 

The final class in CFI’s Pistol Intro Series. Round out your foundational pistol skills with Pistol 3. Pistol 2 provided the framework, now learn to apply those skills in a more realistic fashion! Speed, movement, cover/concealment, all while maintaining principles of safe & accurate shooting.

You will learn & practice:

• Firearm safety (always)
• Multiple target engagement – learn to guide speed & accuracy through multiple targets
• Movement – whether competition or self defense, shooting is rarely a static endeavor. Learn principles of safe & effective movement with your gun.
• Cover/Concealment – Learn tested methods of utilizing cover & concealment
• Malfunctions – apply malfunction clearing at speed & keep your gun running

Pistol 2 or comparable experience required.

Learn to use a holster from Square One 

Want to start using a holster but don’t know where to begin? Holster 101 is the class for you. Whether you’ve got your holster and want to learn the proper & safe way to mount and use it or you don’t even have your holster yet and want to take the first steps, it’s covered in Holster 101. No holster required to take this class. We’ve got you covered.

This 2 Hour Course covers:

• Firearm & Holster Specific Safety
• Holster selection (if applicable)
• Holster mounting – configuration, belt selection & more
• CFI’s 3 count draw – safe, effective and tested method of quickly accessing your firearm and bringing it on target.
• Further practice – learn how to train both at home and on the range to build your holster proficiency!

Have specific areas in your shooting that need focused attention? Want some 1 on 1 time with a CFI instructor? A 1.5 hour private lesson is the perfect way to continue honing your skills exactly how you need.

No experience needed, all levels welcome!

Class Cost: $65/student + ammunition (recommended 100 rounds/2 boxes)

Learn to set up & use your pistol mounted red dot!

Learn (& execute) from square 1 how to properly mount, secure, and Zero (sight-in) your Pistol Mounted Red Dot sight & train the fundamental aspects of red dot shooting with a CFI certified Red Dot instructor.

Price/Student: $60 + 50 rounds (1 box) ammunition for your gun.
